Sunbury State School is committed to providing a safe, respectful and
disciplined learning environment for students and staff, where students have
opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values
supportive of their lifelong wellbeing. All members of our school community are
expected to uphold the responsibilities defined in the Code of School Behaviour
to ensure the best possible outcomes for students, staff and parents.
Sunbury State School’s Responsible behaviour plan (PDF, 549KB) is designed to facilitate
positive support for high standards of achievement and behaviour combined with
clear responses and consequences to inappropriate behaviour so that the
learning and teaching in our school can be most effective and students can
participate positively within our school community.
Our school community has identified the following four broad school
rules to teach and promote our high standards of responsible behaviour: be safe,
be responsible, be respectful, and apply effort. Specific appropriate behaviours
are included in the expectations matrix within Sunbury State School’s
Responsible behaviour plan for students.
